Impact in Connecticut
Rotarians across Southern Connecticut support and advance the work of The Rotary Foundation — initiating grants, scholarships, and funding for impactful humanitarian service both locally and around the world.
Through thoughtful stewardship and club-to-club collaborations, we help guide resources where they can do the most good: from strengthening peace and education to improving health and alleviating poverty.
Our Rotary community invests more than $120,000 in local projects annually – and is poised to do more.
Impact on the World
Rotary Southern Connecticut has substantial global impacts through its Rotary network of clubs and districts. From local students whose studies abroad are funded by Rotary, to powerful humanitarian projects led by local clubs, District 7980 is no stranger to delivering international impact through a wide array of global grant programs.
These grants have enormous impacts around the world. From boring freshwater wells and supporting a new hospital in Uganda, building new schools and libraries to educate children in India, to providing the gift of life for children in need of heart surgery in the Dominican Republic, these are just a few of the programs the District and its Clubs have facilitated.
